Gear Root Fairings… Slowly

Today a lot of social activity kept my shop time limited to just a few hours. But we had to brew beer today in order for it to be ready in time for our annual soup night. That’s right, home brew and a kegerator is a new addition for this year, but I digress.

Added pour foam to the right gear root intersection to shape the fairing. It was done the same way as the left.

The photo below has slight differences left to right, more sanding was done. A few measurements confirmed similarity to the opposite side.

Once the shape was dialed in, 1/4″ of foam was removed to allow for a flox corner with the existing glass. Areas were also sanded again for glass to glass bond.

Time was running short, fall bonfire tonight. So I only got one side glassed. But it wen quickly.
