Operation Prime: Part 4

We will see how many “parts” to this series of blog posts it takes to actually prime something. It is kind of like the old TV commercials, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop? How many days of contour sanding does it take to get to be able to shoot primer? The world may never know…

Today I got the left wing (Right in the photo) epoxy wiped. Then I contour sanded the right wing (left in the photo) with 80 grit. I will do some 120, and that will be good enough for primer. I have found some divots that the epoxy wipe didn’t adequately fill. So I will use some glazing compound on those areas before prime. Doesn’t seem like enough, but that was what I was able to get to today.
