Today Greg was with me in the shop all day. We continued working on the firewall. It took me almost all day to cut, fit, cut, fit, drill, fit, drill fit, and repeat with the stainless firewall. While I was working on that, Greg made up templates for the left and right spar, in between helping me fit things. There isn’t really a lot to say about today, so I will let the pictures do the talking.
I still need to put a small bend in the middle firewall piece were it overlaps the left and right stainless spar covers. We will do that tomorrow. Then it will be time to cut fiberfrax and RTV the whole enchilada in place. It is exciting to see the ugly brown firewall get covered with stainless. Tomorrow should be fun.
