Today was our anniversary, so only had a few hours to work in the workshop. I was able finish getting the nose gear well laid up. The hinge pockets, exposed foam, gear sight window, and strut gear well all got laid up today. The layups were then heat tented to expedite the curing. I didn’t spend the time peel plying since all of this area will be painted with Zolatone, and will not be readily visible.
Tomorrow I should be able to get all of this layup cleaned up, and get some gear door blanks made up. Hopefully we will be back to having gear doors soon, and they will be a much better fit!
